RESEARCH INTERESTS

Research interest is focused on ion channels and cell signaling, studying ion channel modulation by endogenous signaling pathway and exogenous small molecule compounds, with major interest on physiological and pathophysiological significance of ion channel modulation, especially in nervous system. Recent work focuses on peripheral sensory system, aims to unravel ion channel involvement in sensation process (such as thermoesthesia, touch and pain), to investigate ion channel related mechanism of neuropathic and inflammatory pain, to identify therapeutic targets of ion channels and develop novel ion channel modulators for pain alleviation.
